As this term comes to a close, again I want to thank you for your ongoing co-operation and support. It has been a challenging term and I hope that you all have the opportunity for a break over the Long Vacation. I wish to remind all practitioners of the following measures which are still in place:
Social distancing measures MUST continue to be complied with when attending the Courthouses in Nenagh, Thurles and Clonmel. Please keep your client, witnesses and any other members of your team outside the courthouse until your case is ready to proceed.
CALLOVERS
In relation to callovers, I also wish to remind you that the next Callovers for the Circuit Circuit Court (Civil & Family Law) in County Tipperary on the following weeks in the Michaelmas Term:
Clonmel Civil on week commencing 13th October 2020 (callover 14th September 2020 at 11.00am)
Nenagh Civil on week commencing 27th October 2020 (callover 5th October 2020 at 11.30am)
Clonmel Family Law on week commencing 27th October 2020 (callover 14th September 2020 at 11.00am)
Where both parties have agreed to seek a particular date, they should email me directly to apply for same now (and there will be no need for the parties to then attend at the callover).

Practitioners are reminded that social distancing measures remain in place for the foreseeable future and that when seeking a date, they should supply an estimate of the duration of the hearing and the total number of persons in attendance (including solicitors, parties, counsel and witnesses).
TAXATIONS AND CASE PROGRESSIONS
I would also like to remind you that dates for taxations and case progressions (both civil and family) are available during the Long Vacation and those practitioners who are seeking such dates, should email me directly (jamesseymour@courts.ie). Where practitioners have a Covid 19 related concern, taxations and/or case progressions may be conducted via Zoom (where both parties consent to same).
MARRIAGE EXEMPTIONS, CARE REPRESENTATIVE APPLICATIONS AND CERTAIN OTHER EX PARTE MATTERS
Applications for marriage exemptions and for care representative applications should continue to be lodged in the office and where the papers are in order, I will make the orders in the office without the need for the parties to attend.Please contact me directly to discuss same in advance of lodging the application.
